I'm a Birmingham-based freelance writer from a working class background who specialises in feel-good content full of information, colour and joy. I’ve written a billion things since I got my NCTJ-accredited journalism degree back in 2009, from front-page hard news stories, viral fun features that were enjoyed by millions around the globe and, behind the scenes, the more corporate copywriting stuff that helps brands to communicate with their audiences. Mostly travel businesses that take people on adventures.

I can turn my hand to anything but I get the biggest kick out of connecting with readers over beautiful things like food, travel, arts, culture and community.

Outside of the newsroom, I worked with the creative team at WWE NXT UK, helping to make a wrestling TV show! You could hear my Black Country tones on their weekly TV show, first conducting backstage interviews with beefcakes and then hosting in front of the live audiences. I’ve done that for other companies too.

I’ve featured on a number of podcasts, including hosting one of my own, I love a natter and I’m a confident speaker that’s comfortable with their distinct tone of voice. If you’ve read my stuff, or heard me nattering, you’ll know the one I mean, bab.
